Aluminum sandblasting oxidation process is a surface treatment technology commonly used in processing aluminum products. The process is mainly divided into two steps: sandblasting and oxidation.

In the sandblasting step, high-pressure air is used to shoot abrasive particles at a high speed onto the aluminum surface, which causes friction and abrasion on the surface, forming fine pits and micro-undulations that increase the adhesion of the background metal.

In the oxidation step, the sandblasted aluminum surface is treated by anodic oxidation. This involves placing the aluminum material as the anode in an electrified tank and immersing it in an electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid or chromic acid). During this process, the aluminum surface gradually releases anions to generate a dense oxide layer, which improves the corrosion resistance and appearance quality of the aluminum material. In addition, different oxidation methods (such as hard oxidation and colorless oxidation) can be employed to adjust the surface color and shine of aluminum products.

The aluminum sandblasting oxidation process usually includes the following steps:

Surface treatment: First, the aluminum surface must be thoroughly cleaned to prepare for the sandblasting process. Chemical cleaning, hard polishing, and other methods can be used.

Sandblasting: High-pressure air is used to shoot abrasive particles at a high speed onto the aluminum surface to form fine pits and micro-undulations that increase the adhesion of the background metal.

Cleaning: To prevent residual sandblasting agents or dust from affecting the subsequent anodic oxidation process, the surface needs to be cleaned to remove surface impurities and residues.

Oxidation coating: The processed aluminum piece is immersed in an electrolytic bath containing an oxidizing coating for anodic oxidation. This process can form a dense aluminum oxide layer and improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetic properties of the aluminum piece. During this process, the thickness, color, and gloss of the oxide layer can also be adjusted to achieve the desired effect.

Sealing: After the oxidation layer is coated, it still needs to undergo passivation and sealing treatment to further enhance its anti-corrosion ability, wear resistance, and aesthetics. This step can be accomplished using hot water, steam, or other methods.

Completion: Finally, the aluminum piece that has undergone sandblasting and oxidation will be processed for cutting, welding, assembly, and other procedures to complete the desired shape and function.

The aluminum sandblasting oxidation process can be applied to various types of aluminum products, especially those that require certain aesthetic appearance and excellent corrosion resistance.
